-Siriux

Siriux talking to Alioth

Siriux, also known as The Aethermancer, is the protagonist of Aethermancer. An Aethermancer is a person with the ability to bond with the creatures trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth and help them to escape the cycle.

At the beggining of the game, Siriux arrives at Pilgrim's Rest. There, they can talk to Gustavo, the mayor, who tells the protagonist that another Aethermancer arrived short before Siriux. The player can also interact with Alioth, who explains what is the Void and explains the basics of what Siriux can and will do during their exploration. After that, the protagonist can jump on the ruins and start a new run.

Abilities

  • Void jump lets Siriux climb on top of walls using Void Crystals in other to reach those higher places. Climbing these walls might be optional or a requirement to progress on the area. They can also be used to escape from wild monsters if you want to avoid a combat, since those are unable to climb a wall, unless they already are on top of it, which in this case they are unable to climb down.
  • Void blitz allows Siriux to take advantage in a combat even before it starts. When using this ability, the wild monsters will start the fight with less poise, which makes them easier to stagger. However, the player must be careful, because once the wild monster spots the protagonist, it will start chasing them until it they run away or the combat starts
