- Ravager was first teased on January 23th, 2023, as part of the second week of Monster Mythology Monday.
- This makes Ravager the second Monster to have been revealed/teased.
- Ravager was officially confirmed as one of the Monsters in the roster during the game's reveal on March 9th, 2023, alongside ten other Monsters.
Origin
Ravager is inspired by the Wendigo, a creature or evil spirit from Algonquian folklore. It is often depicted as a malevolent, supernatural being associated with insatiable hunger and cannibalism.
Do note that the Ravager's design is not a true portrayal of the Wendigo but only draws inspiration from elements of folklore, with significant alterations to fit the game's fantasy setting.
