  • This makes Dark Elder as the 12th officially revealed Monster.
  • Dark Elder is also the first Monster to be revealed since the Aethermancer trailer.
  • Dark Elder was revealed as a Champion Monster in the same Youtube Shorts that revealed them.

Origin

Dark Elder's design is a mix of a Lovecraftian trope, a goat and a swamp witch.

Dark Elder is possibly based on the Shub-Niggurath, a fictional fertility deity that appears in the works of H. P. Lovecraft and often referred to as "The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young."
